This is Dr. Sasan Khodabakhsh, today I'm very grateful to talk to you about sedation dentistry. You know, at some point Dental Implant Center. Beyond getting local anesthesia, we also do offer three levels of sedation dentistry. At the basic level, we offer nitrous oxide, which is also known as laughing gas. This is just a procedure. Basically, you breathe the gas during the procedure to make you calm, you're still conscious during the procedure, and you're also able to drive yourself home. The next level up is conscious sedation. This is a prescription we prescribe to you that you get filled ahead of time you bring a medication to the office, you take the pills and we monitor you during the procedure, you're usually more sleepy, and you usually don't have as much memory of the procedure. And you also need to have a driver to bring you and take you home for the procedure. The next level up is and the last level is IV sedation. This is usually administered by a local anesthesiologist, you're usually asleep during a procedure and you don't have any memory as well. And for this you also have to have a driver bring you and take you home after the procedure is completed.
